Neat looking holster TechGuy. Never used one seems like it would be good.

Wouldn't it be hard to draw in a hurry?

It has a breakaway function.

Harder than pulling up your shirt?

I find the traditional under the shirt stuff to be uncomfortable, and not so easy on the draw.

I quit wearing fanny packs in the late 80's

I will stay with my pocket holster and my J frame revolver with no external hammer

Really not a fanny pack, I don't like them either.

I am seriously considering a j frame.

Best is probably a coat pocket since you can reach in your pocket and fire right through it.

Yeah, fine for northern states, but here anything with jacket, coat, layers, long, etc. are not possible.

It is 100f today with a heat index of 108f. Humidity 95%

Unlike crime where the is a possibility of getting killed, wearing more than the minimum here in this heat WILL get you killed.

Yep, got a homemade. Carrys my $60 H&R 922 all steel "saturday nite special" that will shoot 3" 25 yard groups, 109 rounds of 22 LR, and a back-up folder knife. Total, weighs 46 ounces.

Same thing here in south florida. I've been looking for good alternatives to IWB carry, but with a compact .45, its just too big for OWB. Guess Ill have to go with a sub compact 9 or just suck it up.

Its not always that bad, except when I dont want to wear big baggy cloths cause its brutal out.

I was sort of thinking going away from auto and to an aluminum s&w 38, and as small of a owb case as possible. With enough room for one speed loader.

Ive thought of the same, but the extra rounds are nice. My wife is thinking of going to a pf-11(?...the kel-tec in 9mm. Its low capacity for a 9, 7+1, but it weighs like 12 oz and in a pocket holsert is barley noticeable. That or shell stick with the p3-at(6+1) Compared to my 7+1 .45 that weighs 20 something ounces, empty. I really like the new model revolvers that are hammerless and sleek.

Ultimatley, the best gun is the one youll carry the most. Im looking at a new IWB holster that is hand made, custom fit for my gun(bersa .45 UC). Everyone on the Bersa Forum says they are great, but they cost some 70 bucks, so I've held off.

I dont have my CCW yet either(still waiting) so I dont carry ON me everyday, unless I know Im going somewhere where I dont care if its illegal or not. Other than that, its right next to me in the car, or in my daughers diaper bag. The cheap-o carry holster I have isnt comfortable when its really hot out.

Many seem concerned about a quick draw. To me just having a piece available is half the battle. If you feel you are in an unsafe situation, you should already have it pulled. This ain't the old west...yet.
Buy one of these to be less conspicuous.
